Men's Final Four Location: Nevada or Atlantic City Historical TidBit: The NCAA Men’s Final Four is the final three games of college basketball’s Men’s Championship Tournament. It marks the culmination of the basketball regular season and the Championship Tournament which includes March Madness, the Sweet Sixteen, and the Elite Eight. The first Championship game in 1939, now the Final Four, was organized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches and hosted the Oregon Ducks and the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Patten Gym in Evanston, Illinois housed the game in which Oregon defeated Ohio State, 46-33. Since then the tournament was assumed by the NCAA and as a whole has grown from an eight team tournament to, beginning in 1985, a 64team,11dayevent.The winner of the Final Four is then declared the NCAA Men’s Basketball Champions.
